Introducing the COSMOPen

The New Standard in MicroNeedling Technology

Treat Acne, Scars, Wrinkles, Stretch marks...

Alternative to Fractional laser, IPL and Chemical Peels

COSMOPen is a state-of-the-art medical grade high speed micro-needling System. It offers the same results as a fractional laser without pain, downtime, expense, and thermal damage.

COSMOPen can be used to treat acne and surgical scars—including keloids—as well as wrinkles, stretch marks, pore size, and signs of aging.

Additionally, by vertically piercing the skin, COSMOPen helps naturally induce collagen production and treat pigmentation.

What can the CosmoPen treat?

Most useful for:

  • Facial rejuvenation, restoring skin elasticity, production of new collagen
  • Improving acne scars and keloids.
  • Reducing fine lines and deep expression lines
  • Treating stretch marks
  • Decreasing hyperpigmentation and melasma
  • Treating alopecia
  • Improving the delivery of nutrients through the skin

What is Microneedling?

Also called Skin Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)

What is it and how does it work?

MicroNeedling, also called Skin Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is an aesthetic medical procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles (microneedling the skin) in order to induce endogenous production of cutaneous collagen.

Percutaneous collagen induction ( PCI ) therapy or medical microneedling is a technique where a fractional microneedling device with fine microneedles has been shown to increase the remolding of the skin by creating thousands of microscopic channels through the skin, to increase the formation of new tissue by activating the body’s wound healing cascade (hemostasis-inflammation-proliferation-tissue remodeling). It is also referred to as a non-ablative skin treatment. This means that the deeper parts of the skin are treated without removing the top layer of skin. It is designed to treat various skin conditions such as fine lines and wrinkles, light scarring from acne and photo damage, and to improve skin color and other skin texture changes.

What is the principel behind Microneedling:

COSMOPen microneedling is a form of Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). The idea behind CIT is similar to that of many other non-surgical skin-tightening procedures in that it aims to create a controlled Non-Thermal injury underneath the skin’s surface, thereby inducing the body to respond through the formation of new tissue layers of elastin- and collagen fibers (neo-collagenesis) as well as new capillaries for an improved blood supply (neo-angiogenesis) in the treated area. The skin plumps and thickens in response to this stimulus, ultimately reducing the appearance of scars, and fine lines and other skin texture changes. Whenever we can generate openings in the skin we have an opportunity for topical to penetrate more readily through the channels created.

MicroNeedling with the COSMOPen

CosmoPen VS other devices

What makes CosmoPen the best device on the market?

COSMOPen VS DermaRollers

DermaRoller Flaws:

  • Excessive & undesired trauma
  • Cross-infection risks
  • Too large for small areas
  • Lacks accuracy & consistency for speed & depth

COSMOPen Advantages:

  • Up and down movements prevent excessive trauma
  • Disposible pinhead - No risk of Cross Infection
  • The small tip helps treat hard to reach areas
  • Very accurate & consistent speed & depth

Corded VS Cordless

It's all about Efficiency VS Convenience

Corded by design!

When designing the CosmoPen, we CHOSE to make a corded device because of the following points:

Cordless

Pros:

  • Convenience
  • Mobility

Cons:

  • Inconsistent Power Delivery*
  • Power can run out during Procedure
  • Less powerfull
  • Wears out overtime
  • Heavier – Battery weight

Corded

Pros:

  • Consistent Power Delivery*
  • Can operate all day long
  • Does not lose power over-time – Longer life
  • Lighter – No battery

Cons:

  • Less Mobility
  • Less convenient

Patient's Testimonials

Frequently asked questions

Hope this helps!

What areas of the body can be treated - am I a good candidate?

COSMOPen can be used on all skin types and is a valuable tool to treat a variety of skin concerns such as: facial rejuvenation, scarring (acne, surgical), stretch marks, pigmentation disorders and alopecia.

What will the treatment feel like and how long is the downtime?

In most cases, a topical anesthetic is applied to the skin prior to COSMOPen treatment to reduce discomfort and the procedure is pain free. The downtime is minimal; however patient may experience redness for 12 to 48 hours afterward.

When will I see the results?

Usually you will notice some improvement after the the first or second treatment. More significant results will occur after 4 to 6 treatments spaced 10-15 days apart. Collagen remodeling takes place over time. Skin will continue to improve over the next 6 to 12 months post COSMOPen treatments with proper skin care regimen. Results will vary in each patient.

Can I combine CosmoPen treatment with filler or botox injections?

It’s recommended to wait at least 4 days after filler/botox injections so that any post treatment bruising from those procedures can settle*. Or have your COSMOPen treatment 1 or 2 days before having fillers injected.

*However, filler injections performed with Dermasculpt Microcannulas will greatly reduce the chance of bruising.
